It is a natural part of being human to experience fear. It can be a good thing if it protects us from harm or helps us deal with potential danger. But many times fear may keep us from participating in life.
You may feel you are the only person in the world that is scared of ordinary things....water, heights, flying, bugs or public speaking but these fears are very common. The goal in life is not an absence of fear but having the courage to take action that helps us overcome them. We must all learn to face our fears and shape our lives in spite of them.
