When we're young "Tis better to give than to receive" perhaps doesn't seem quite right. It is fun to give but really, what could be better than receiving a gift? God has a way of proving these things to us. There is really nothing better than to be able to give a gift that you know someone will love...it IS as exciting as getting it yourself. To anticipate their reaction when they see it or you tell them...even if it's long distance, the joy cannot be disguised.
Today I got to purchase tickets for my daughter (my eldest) for her dream concert! Because of the price of the tickets, they will be her birthday/Christmas present this year but she is thrilled. And the concert is actually ON her birthday...what fun! So, for all you Sarah Brightman fans, have hope, someday someone you love may find a way to send you too! Love you Baby Girl!
